Thirty years of job-site judgment on your next pour

Direct Inspection Group is a construction inspection company serving contractors, engineers and building officials across Southern California.

Our history

Built on the job site, one inspection at a time

Direct Inspection Group started where the work actually happens — on the dirt, with a set of approved drawings in hand. More than 30 years of construction consulting and inspection stands behind every visit: decades spent walking reinforcing steel before a pour, checking anchor bolts against the layout, watching a fill lift come up to temperature, and signing off on the details nobody else sees once the concrete is in.

That experience adds up to hundreds of major projects handled across Southern California — foundations and slabs, structural concrete, structural steel, masonry, shear walls, earthwork and compaction testing. The codes, the forms and the review process have all changed over the years. The fundamentals of the job have not: get there early, know the drawings cold, catch the problem while it is still cheap to fix, and write it down clearly so no one downstream has to chase it.

Today that background is what contractors and engineers get when they call. Whether it is a single footing on a small site or a multi-phase build with a full statement of special inspections, the standard is the same — verify the work against the approved documents, communicate findings the same day, and keep the documentation clean enough to stand on its own.
